Origin & Sourcing

Our premium Cloves are sourced from the clove plantations of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, regions that produce some of the world's finest cloves. These aromatic flower buds are harvested by hand just before they bloom and carefully sun-dried to preserve their intense flavor and medicinal properties.

Types & Grades

Cloves are graded based on size, oil content, and appearance:

Bold Grade (CG-1)

Largest cloves with intact heads and stems. Highest oil content, premium quality.

Medium Grade (CG-2)

Good sized cloves with excellent aroma. Preferred for whole use in cooking.

Small Grade (CG-3)

Smaller cloves, still aromatic. Good value for grinding into powder.

Headless Cloves

Stems without the flower bud. Lower price, used for oil extraction.

How to Identify Quality

Oil Test: Press the clove with your nail - quality cloves release visible oil drops.
Color: Should be dark brown with slightly lighter stems. Black cloves are over-dried.
Head: The bud (head) should be intact and round. Broken heads reduce quality grade.
Aroma: Intense, warm, sweet smell with hints of pepper. Weak aroma indicates old stock.
