White Pepper

Subtle & Refined

White Pepper
🌿

Origin & Sourcing

Our premium White Pepper comes from the same pepper vines in Wayanad and Idukki districts of Kerala. White pepper is made from fully ripe pepper berries that are soaked in water and the outer skin removed, revealing the inner seed. This process gives it a milder, more subtle flavor than black pepper.

  • Same vines as Malabar Black Pepper
  • Traditional water-retting process
  • Carefully decorticated by hand
  • Sun-dried to perfect moisture level

Types & Grades

White pepper is graded based on color, size, and purity:

Muntok White Pepper

Sarawak White Pepper

How to Identify Quality

Color: Look for uniform cream to off-white color. Black spots indicate incomplete skin removal.
Size: Uniform sized berries indicate proper grading. Mixed sizes suggest lower quality.
Aroma: Should have a subtle, earthy, slightly fermented smell. Musty odor indicates poor storage.
Texture: Should be smooth and hard. Soft or powdery texture indicates moisture damage.
